Swissvax is a premium and luxury brand in automotive care, with a strong reputation among automotive enthusiasts worldwide. Several premium and luxury automotive manufacturers have their own-brand care products developed and made by us – including Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lamborghini, and Harley-Davidson.

Our system covers complete vehicle and yacht care: washing, cleaning, conditioning, and sealing components are precisely coordinated so that every step builds on the previous one.

Like many other unique products, these manufacturing products were originally created at the family’s kitchen table. The old "Anwander" drugstore in Zurich served as both the laboratory and production site for the first cans of carnauba wax for automobiles and boats, originally made for the personal use of grandfather and company founder Hans Anwander.

These products are still handcrafted in our wax factory today and are filled can by can. The high-quality formulations do not allow for industrial production. Until 2009, Swissvax was also known as Swizöl.

The Swissvax secret lies in the exceptionally durable carnauba wax formulas, which are created after hours of production from double-walled microparticles – the so-called microencapsulation.

Unlike conventional polishes, Swissvax waxes contain no abrasives and can be used on all types of paintwork: on modern water-based paints, on nano paints, and even on old nitro lacquers. The Swissvax system consists of two components – paint preparation with Cleaner Fluid Regular followed by the carnauba wax. The waxes apply effortlessly and leave no white residue on rubber or edges.

Carnauba is the hardest, purest, most transparent, and most expensive natural wax in the world. It is obtained from the upper leaf surfaces of the Brazilian fan palm "Copernicia prunifera" and classified by color and clarity. The highest quality – the rare Grade One carnauba – goes into our waxes. The gloss level increases the more carnauba a formulation contains. While conventional car waxes contain 3% to 5% carnauba, Swissvax formulations with 30% to 81 Vol.% carnauba reach one of the highest concentrations on the market.

Unlike conventional polishes—which merely polish the surface to a shine while the underlying layers of paint become drier and slowly deteriorate—the Swissvax Carnauba formulations, enriched with oily extracts of passion fruits, oranges, avocados, and vanilla, restore the lost deep gloss to the paint. The result is a deep, unique "wet look" that excites collectors and automotive enthusiasts around the world.
